Frequently Asked Questions

How long can my child check out a book?

Books are checked out for one week in grades K-3 and 2 weeks (if desired) for grade 4.

What if my child brings home an overdue notice?

This is simply a reminder for the student to remember to bring his or her book back as soon as possible.  Children with an overdue book will not be able to check out a new book during that week's library class.

What if a book gets lost or damaged?

Lost and significantly damaged books must be paid for.  You can send in cash or write a check payable to Chariho Regional School District.

What if I would like to donate a book?

Please contact the librarian if you are interested in donating books to our library.  After consultation with you, we will then create a special book plate for the title page of the book.
